100km Cycling Tour “The Ballagh Challenge” Sunday June 23rd, 2013

Promoting Cycle Trails in South Laois & North Kilkenny

South Laois Tourism in conjunction with Ossary Cycling Club , Laois Partnership , Laois Sports Partnership, Kilkenny Trails and Laois County Council will hold a 100km cycle tour ” The Ballagh Challenge” on Sunday June 23rd. The route traverses through the following towns and villages Cullahill, Rathdowney,Ballacolla, Ballinakill, Castlecomer, Ballyragget, Lisdowney, Gathabawn and Durrow.

A 40km Tour will also be included . Starting time for the 100km will be at 10am from Durrow with registration from 9am.

Nationwide TV Presenters Features Cullahill Village On Sunday April 14th

South Laois Tourism are delighted to confirm, that in addition to John Murray’s walking club coming to Cullahill on Sunday April 14th, NATIONWIDE ‘S TV Presenters Ann Kennedy & Ann Cassin will also be in attendance. The Nationwide Team will be in the village from 10am to film and photograph the area. They will then follow the John Murray walk across Cullahill Mountain which will be viewed later on TV.

This is a hugh Tourist opportunity for Cullahill Village and the surrounding areas. We looking forward to meeting and welcoming you all to Cullahill Village on Sunday April 14th.

R.T.E’s John Murray Walk in Cullohill,Co. Laois Sunday April 14th 2013

South Laois Tourism are delighted to welcome John Murray and his team to Cullohill Village to undertake the Cullohill Mountain 8km Walk on Sunday April 14th. The walk will commence at 12:00 noon with local entertainment before,during and after the walk. Refreshments will be provided in the Community Centre. This is a fantastic opportunity to welcome everyone to Cullohill to enjoy our beautiful walks and stunning scenic countryside from Cullohill Mountain.

We are also very pleased to announce that John Murray will officially launch our Tourist Information & Heritage Trail’s Brochures which we have just completed in the past 12 months.
